We use the term "rogue" to refer to a specific type of mentality. When we say "rogue", we mean the nasty, angry little men exemplified in our movies. They are the bastards who arrogantly trash talked their opponents while the class was overpowered, who screamed like hurt school girls when other classes were brought up to par, and who smear and tar anyone they disagree with.

But that isn't every rogue. There are many pleasant, humble, and skilled players on rogues. Many of our best friends were rogues (like Asmodius and Intrepid). And many players have switched to rogues from their original class. Overall, there is a higher percentage of good people in the rogue class today. Unfortunately, the rogues who post on the forums are mostly the idiots. And there have been so many morons in the class for so long, that they have come to represent rogues.
